Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with specialized skills in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care is needed for a contract opportunity in Boca Raton, FL. This position supports critical open heart and cardiac surgical procedures in a fast-paced, acute CVOR setting. Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients before, during, and after CVOR surgical procedures Ensure sterile techniques are strictly followed throughout surgeries Prepare and maintain necessary surgical instruments, medications, and equipment, including open heart instrumentation, TEE, and ultrasound devices Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech systems Provide intraoperative support during procedures such as CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker implantation, laser lead extractions, thoracic, and endovascular surgeries Offer lunch relief support across related surgical specialties when needed Participate in on-call rotation approximately every other day and weekend Qualifications: Current RN license Minimum 2 years recent experience in an acute CVOR nursing role Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Preferred experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures Ability to prioritize patient safety and execute quality control measures Comfortable functioning independently in a dynamic OR environment Location Overview:This role is based near Boca Raton, FL, offering access to vibrant coastal communities with beautiful beaches, diverse dining, and cultural attractions.
